I have a 2 year old BE600M1 UPS that has been fine thus far. It powers a small file server and my network hardware for about a 20 minute backup.
I had an outage today and I noted the UPS was up about 5 minutes later but then went down 10 or so minutes after that with no alarms.
When the utility power was restored and there was a solid green power LED on the UPS, I powered up the file server. It almost immediately shut itself back down. I then disconnected the USB monitoring cable and brought the file server back up. I found the page to monitor the UPS, and plugged the USB cable back in. When the page refreshed, it showed a 1% battery level and shut the server back down again.
I power reset the UPS, but nothing changed. There were never any alarms.
Does the lack of alarms indicate there's a problem with this unit other than a low battery?

Based on your description it sounds like the UPS is programmed to mute any audible alarms. Please refer to the *On Battery Indicator* modes which there are three. There are three options in how the UPS will react while on battery power.
Below is the User Manual to guide you through those steps / selection: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_enDocType=User+guide&p_File_Name=BU+UM+990-5679+MN01...
