Today for the first time I had a power outage in my area. The UPS responded well but I've never heard any alarm beeping coming from the unit. Is this normal ?

I bought it 20 days ago, and charged it 24hrs for the first time. All the quality assurance tests were made on 21/04/2017. The device which connected to the UPS at the time was only my Laptop (160W).
I would greatly appreciate any help.

Hi Takis,
This UPS will emit 4 beeps every 30 seconds alarm when it runs on battery mode. This audible alarm can be disabled through the Powerchute personal edition software. There might be chances that it is programmed to disable alarm on the new units. I would recommend testing the alarm by enabling it through the Powerchute personal edition. Below is the link to download the software and it needs to be connected with the USB cable between the computer and usb port on the UPS to communicate.
If you still have the same issue then it indicates that the failure of alarm system in the unit.

Vinay
