Howdy, I have 3 APC units - XS-1000, XS1500, Backup Pro 500 , units all batteries and sofware say a-ok - but Blockout's seem to be in the 100's , my Tripp units ith Digital voltage readout
seem to be much less sensitive but if the digital voltage reading jumps from 121 volts ac to 108 those units beep for a second or two . the problem is always for a two seconds or so and back to normal. I'm living a total nightmare these units are for my HDTV units and cable and Sat set top boxes . I'm afraid to disconect them and I can't live with them . Called PG&E and they send a guy out yesterday who total expertise was to find my outside power box and check if there was current to it or not.
Most of these units are for LCD HDTV's with out computer link-up how can I adjust senstivity -- even with power chute software i see nogthing to adjust sensivity
What do I do ????

Hello,
BackUPS XS units can have their sensitivity adjusted through the front display. Leave the UPS plugged into the AC power and turned off. Push and hold the on button until all the LEDs start to flash. Let go of the on button and you will see either 1, 2, or 3 LEDs flashing. If you push the on button quickly, there is 5 seconds before the LEDs go out, you can adjust the level of the sensitivity. 3 LEDs is High, 2 is medium, and 1 is low. You may want to try medium and then low, see if the UPS stops clicking back and forth. The BackUPS Pro, needs to have its sensitivity adjusted through software.
It sounds like you have a large amount of distortion and noise coming into your building. Having an experienced electrician come and check the input AC is a great step in resolving the issue.
Thanks.
