Hi
I have two brand new SC1500i UPS. Both units behave the same.
Have unpacked - connected battery and powered on - I get the red LED and battery disconnected beep.
I have metered the battery pack - 0V
Are the units faulty?

I feel like that battery voltage is way too low to come from the factory. Did you buy these units open box or something? Are you sure you're measuring the battery packs correctly? Make sure your multimeter is set to DC.

Can you provide the first six characters of the serial numbers? This would tell us the date the unit was manufactured.

Thanks. Based from the serial number it was manufactured on the 30th week of 2010. Are you seeing 0V DC on both batteries? Can you re-connect the batteries and keep the UPS unplug and then press and hold the power button. Release the power button as soon as you hear a long beep.

Yes, both battery packs are 0V.
I do not get a beep when I hold the power button in with the mains disconnected.
When I connect the mains before turning the UPS on - I get the overload light flashing.
