I just bought this on 1/24/12, Installed it yesterday 1/28/12, Installed software same day says every thing OK, your battery backup is operating properly. Lost power this morning for a few seconds and unit doesn't work. Didn't even list in the software that I lost power. Software is telling me everything OK.

When power went off unit shut down had to hit the power button to turn unit back on.

I think I will be boxing this up and taking it back.

Is it possible for you to put a small load on the battery side of the UPS, like a lamp or LCD monitor and then unplug the UPS and see if it runs on battery.

Which outlet(s) was your equipment plugged into?

This unit has 4 battery backup outlets and 4 regular.
I had the computers plugged into the battery backup side.
I have done some checking and I might have too much plug into the backup side as far as too many watts.
I am going to do some more checking.
