Just bought this a few hours ago with serial # 7B1207L02273.
What is the recommended procedure for using it the first time?
I plugged it in a wall socket, pressed the Power button and the green light turns on. There is nothing plugged in the UPS itself. After about some minutes, the green light blinks continuously (no sound or alarm) and then turns off (the green light also turns off).
How should I initially charge the battery? should it be turned on with the green light on or just plugged in a wall socket without turning it on (green light off)? Thanks!

Here is the user's guide for that product for reference-> http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z7V9K/ASTE-6Z7V9K_R1_EN.pdf
I'd recommend you connect the battery and you can turn it on. But, the UPS needs to charge for about 16-18 hours so if you have frequent power outages, they will interrupt the charging process with power events. If that's the case, plug it in and leave it off and it will charge.
When you turn the UPS turns on, it does a UPS self test and the green light will flash. If the battery is not charge sufficiently, the UPS could turn off.
So, without touching it, let it just charge overnight I guess and turn it on and see what you get.
