I have a Back UPS marked NS 1250 on the front panel. The unit is black in color. I bought this unit new several years ago but have since lost all the materials that came with it. The model number is BN1250G. I cannot find any information on the website for either NS 1250 or BN1250G. Where can I find a user manual and/or technical specifications for this unit?

Preaching to the choir -- I used the contact link on APC's website to ask why the UPS I was looking for wasn't there. I recommend everyone in the same boat do the same.

Here (click) is what you're looking for, assuming yours has a status display. I haven't the slightest why this wouldn't be on the APC web site, only that as you found it sure doesn't seem to be.

Last time I complained about not finding a UPS on the web site, they told me they don't include models that they no longer manufacture. Rather annoying.

I am somewhat disappointed to hear this. It is because of APC/Schneider's traditionally superior support for their older products (as compared to all of the competing brands) that I use and recommend their products over any of the competition. It's been very useful to find that APC still had support information online (or would provide it) even for very old products. Whether they "should be" out there or not, many of them are and they're still working fine when a question comes up.
I am surely not the only person who feels this way. It's my hope that one of the APC/Schneider employees present on this forum could pass this on to the people who are responsible for maintaining the availability of documentation on the APC web site, and let them know that the older and out of production product manuals and other resources should remain available in perpetuity. (Web hosting space is cheap, after all, and a little goodwill toward a customer is priceless.)
