My Powerchute Business edition is displaying @ symbols

After installing PowerChute Serial Shutdown the Outlet names read @@@@@@@@@.  the software does not appear to be able to identify the SMT1000 UPS attached.  This was a problem I lived with using the PowerChute Busness Edition 10.  Any Ideas on how this can be corrected.

I am at this moment considering this may be something I could change through the UPS

@allan_at_q-bis.com_apc

You should first reset the communications bus of the UPS. To do that, press and hold the up and down arrows for 6 to 10 seconds. The LCD panel goes blank, and the UPS will chirp. The AC output will not be affected.

Once you have done that check PowerChute. If it still shows the @ symbols reset the UPS to factory defaults. To do that from the LCD panel go to Configuration and verify the UPS is set for Advanced configuration. The using the up or down arrows from within the Configuration menu scrool until you see Reset to Factory Default and follow the prompt.

I have just replaced my battery in this UPS and chose to Factory Reset. after the reset I went into the Control Panel Menu and accessed the About.  In this section the UPS Model indicates @.  Not the actual model. SMT1000 or Smart UPS 1000.  I gather it is for this reason the PowerChute app has the @@@@@@@@ symbols. Unless there is a way to fix this in the UPS firmware I guess I'm stuck with the model being @

Hopefully there is a way to change the Model name if not thank you for your response to my question.  I will look into seeing if there is a FW update I can apply.
