We have a replacement battery pack for the failed pack. There are 4 of these battery packs interconnected. The user manual says I can swap the battery pack while the system continues to run.
AND - the pack to be replaced is easily accessible. When things appear too easy, I worry that I've overlooked something. But right now I should be able to hot swap the battery packs, taking care to replace cables and wires in the exact pattern as they are removed.
So - is it true I can merely disconnect one battery and swap with the good one? Hate to drop our servers today.

To add on what Nix said, you would have to replace an entire Smartcell battery pack, but not the whole Smartcell-XR battery pack. The latter has the user replaceable batteries but the former does not. Basically, even if you try to replace the battery inside a little Smartcell, the replace battery light will stay on because all of the circuitry inside thinks it's still an original battery.
But yes, they're all hot swappable too.

There is no need to swap the Smartcell-XR entirely since the RBC14 Battery pack is still available.
However, that frame would need to be disconnected during the replacement.
