I just installed a Back-UPS ES 750 on an iMac. I didn't enable the master/controlled outlets because it's not a feature we need.
The problem is that the Mac now won't go to sleep. It begins to go to sleep, but then it powers back up. The problem I'm having is similar to the one described in [this (unresolved) thread|https://community.se.com/t5/APC-UPS-for-Home-and-Office-Forum/bd-p/home-office-forum#12569], only we we're not using the master/controlled outlets scheme.
Anyone have a solution?
Thanks,
Leslie

It only fails to go to sleep when it's plugged into the UPS.

When I put the computer to sleep, the UPS makes clicking noises and wakes the computer at various times, from immediately to as long as two hours later. The waking up is always preceded by the clicking of the UPS. In addition, when the computer is awake, and I'm using it, the UPS occasionally makes the same clicking noises, and the computer monitor dims.
I haven't noted what the LED is doing--when I glance at it it's just green--but the computer is plugged into the master outlet.
Thanks,
Leslie

Hi Leslie,
I've faced now with the same problem on my iMac (10.6.6).
What's result of your investigations? Have I a chance to resolve or a way to avoid the situation?

Nikolay
