LED alternating green/amber with 2 short beeps every 2 seconds!!
I have the BE650Y-IN model, using it for last 2.5 years. It was working fine till yesterday when the led lights started alternating amber and green giving out 2 short beeps every 2 seconds. I am able to work fine with the computer but the beep is very annoying. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong with it? I have programmed it to High sensitivity.
I spoke to APC support, they told me to use the PowerChute software to turn of the alarm. I am not really sure I should be doing that without knowing what the beep is for. In any case, I have lost the USB cable which was provided with the unit.
1. Is my battery nearing end of life?
2. Do I have to recharge it for a certain amount of time before using it again?
PS: Missed out an important point: We had a power outage just before it started behaving this way. Could that be the source?
Will greatly appreciate any help
