I am new and I am about to purchase the Line-R LE1200I in my country, Malaysia. Before I actually do that I have some questions that I would like to ask and seek advice. My intention to buy this unit comes from the recommendation of the local dealer of APC product.
I intend to use it to maintain the 240V from my mains outlet in my home to power my HiFi equipment. The equipment connected to the unit are, a Tube Amplifier (consuming 250 watts) and a Tube CD Player (consuming around 10 watts). I do not believe I'll be connecting any other equipment to it.
My house wall socket outlet is stable during the day time - 240 volts, but it falls rapidly around 6:30pm. Voltage during the whole evening can run as low as 225 volts. My listening hours is about 3 - 4 hours in the evening. My main concern is the low voltage.
How well will the LE1200I able to help in this case? Will it generate any humming?
This is the most affordable product I can source in my area, without spending the actual "big bucks" for products from PS Audio (USA) or Pure Power (Canada) that are design specifically for HiFi.
If the LE1200I can do the job it will be just right for me!
Thanks and looking forward to all the kind replies.

The Line-R LE1200I product is designed to keep Mains power per CBEMA/IEC950 requirements, within 220V+/- 10% for IT equipment. This device will try to maintain adequate utility to the attached load during deep sags or over voltages, however it is not designed to regulate utility with in 230V+/- 1%, which would be optimal for A/V devices.
