I have an analytical laboratory instrument w/ computer that needs a UPS for backup power and power conditioning. I'm considering the APC Smart-UPS 2200VA USB & Serial 120V, model SUA2200, but I'm not sure if it meets the line disturbance and noise specs for the instrument.
The instrument requires that sags, surges, or other line disturbances not exceed 10% of input voltage (even for a half cycle). Noise must be less than 2 volts in common mode, and less than 20 volts in normal mode.
The proposed UPS spec says that the output voltage distortion is less than 5% at full load. Does this meet the sags, surges, and other line disturbances spec? I can't find anything in the spec that refers to noise, other than the statement that the UPS has "Full-time, multipole, noise filtering".
Is this the correct UPS for my application?

This post may be dead, but if not I'd be interested in knowing the results of your search. I have a similar need for UPSes on analytical equipment.
