Is the APCRBC124 the same as two APC 910-1209 RBC33 together?

I have the BR1500G-BR no-break and I can't find a battery replacement in Brazil. The last time I asked a rep (APC Brazil) he said that my unit needed two batteries, but the one he offered me (he said that I needed two units of the APC 910-1209 RBC33) did not look like the APCRBC124 that my nobreak has and requires. Mine looks like a rack of two batteries, but they are bond together (I did not check if they can be taken apart).

So is the APC 910-1209 RBC33 just one module of my rack, or the APCRBC124 is not the same as two 910-1209 RBC33 together?

I appreciate any information,
Rodrigo.

EDIT: sorry, but the website engine is joining the words on my text upon posting -- I cannot find a way to post the text as it should.

Just to give an update for who is out there, you can replace the APCRBC124 for two APC 910-1209 RBC33. You have to cut the tape of the APCRBC124, disassemble the two batteries, spare the central rack and put back the new batteries. There is a plastic piece in the middle where you reconnect the new batteries. Just make sure to memorize where each wire is connected and the orientation of the rack (since you are not going to have the green tape as a guide anymore). You can take some photos of the APCRBC124 setup with your mobile to make sure that you know how to reassemble it. I glued them together with tape, but I think it is not necessary. You just need to put back the set with care and it will stay in place.

It is a little tricky at first, but I replaced it with no fuss. Of course it is better to buy the APCRBC124, but if not available, you just need two APC 910-1209 RBC33 and some handy work.

Cheers,

Hi Rodrigo,

You can only use the APCRBC124 on your UPS,  you cannot use any other types of batteries.

Regards.

Cool, thanks a lot! I will ask specifically for the APCRBC124,

Best regards,
