I have a Back UPS Pro 1500 S and have installed Powerchute serial v1.2 on my Windows PC.
The UPS powers the PC and a router/ONT and network switches.
In case of mains power outage, I want Powerchute to tell the computer to hibernate after 1 minute, but I want the UPS to continue to supply power so the attached network devices remain on.
How do I do it?

There are a couple of ways of implementing this This may also vary depending on the model of the UPS
First you need to choose the option to not shutdown n event of a power outtage
Then create a batch file .bat with either command will depend on which works with your operating system
Configuring Command Files for use with Powerchute Business Edition - APC USA
Using the shutdown command: Type `shutdown /h
Using powercfg.exe: Type `powercfg.exe /hibernate
save the batch file and see if you can run it and if it is able to hibernate your computer
if it works
then Go to Power Chute > Event Configuration and choose the event that you want to trigger Hibernation and navigate to where the save batch file is
The problem with this setup is the automatic start ups sequence will not work since it needs to turn off output and when power comes back in turn on output so Computer can be signalled to turn on
You can also uninstall PowerChute and use the native shutdown feature of the Computer this requires that the UPS is considered as a APC UPS or APC Battery BackUPS. and not a HID UPS which ,may require the driver to be reactivated

The new 1.3 version, scheduled for release later this month, will have an option for not shutting down the UPS after OS shutdown (only for Back-UPS models).
Note that if you have configured your PC to automatically turn on on AC power recovery, this obviously will no longer work. This relies on the UPS automatically turning on when AC power returns. Using the new option, the UPS (powering your PC) doesn't turn off and on, and the PC will not detect AC power recovery.
