Solved: Hum through audio speakers with UPS XS 1500

I have a UPS XS 1500. I get a constant hum through my audio speakers. If I power them off, no hum. This wasn't a problem when the ups was first installed. Is this a defect or a wrong setting? Is there a solution? thanks

Are the speakers attached to the Battery Backup outlets? Do the Speakers make humming noise when the UPS is "On battery" mode?
