Hello,
We have a two years Smart-UPS SRT 5000. In recent month, it start to sent the following warning by emails:
We login the Menu ->Test -> UPS self Test, Result: Passed.
Then we changed the install time in the status menu, and the above warning email stopped.
However, whenever we lost power or we did a self-test, the warning email would start to send without stopping. We have to change install time again.
Anyone know how to fix this bug in the software? Thanks

The average service life of the RBC is 2-5 years based on Usage, Temperature, and Environmental Factors.
The system performs a very basic Self Test to determine if the RBC is healthy enough to provide backup battery power during a Lights Out / Grid Down event.
Both messages indicate a failed and expired RBC.
As your own personal experience has shown the RBC is EOL and needs to be replaced.
You trying to fool the system by changing the battery installation date isn’t going to solve this problem if the RBC is indeed expired! ☝️
The hardware is covered by a three year warranty. The RBC is covered by a two year warranty so confirm it’s still covered and if so submit a RMA for a new RBC.
If the RBC is out of warranty than you have two choices which are to replace the RBC or rebuild the pack with new (HR) quality cells such as the factory CSB branded.
