How do I turn ON the audible alarm on my SMT 1000I?

Hi all,

This may be a little odd, from what I've read people always seem to want to do the opposite, but I want to enable/activate the audible alarm on my SMT1000I. I've tried using the LCD screen and through the Power-chute programme, but neither take effect. I apply the change, it thinks about it then switches back to disabled again. When I run a test on the alarm it sounds, so I know the speaker itself isn't faulty, but has anyone else got any advice?

You can try the following to see if it changes anything. Insure all connected loads are powered down and disconnected from the UPS.

1. Reset the UPS to a default state by selecting Configuration -> Reset to factory default -> select *Yes*. 

2. Brain Dead: Remove AC Mains, Disconnect battery connection, press and hold the power button until you hear a click / beep. Reconnect the battery cartridge and AC Mains.

What are the results of doing the above? 🙄
