I am running Folding@Home SMP client which utilizes all 4 of my cores at 100% and I decided to check my power consumption. All looked good until for a few seconds my input voltage showed this. I almost number 2'd my pants! Clearly must be some error right?

The software had kept getting worse and worse as days went on. It eventually got to the point where every single time I'd double click on the tray icon to check status of the software, it would crash. For example. I'd double click the tray icon, it would sit on the "About PowerChute Personal Edition" for a few seconds like it normally does, and then as soon as it hits the "common tasks" screen, it would crash and vista would send a report. The icon in the tray doesn't close though. I could keep double clicking the tray icon and the window would pop again every time, and then crash every time.
I did what you asked. I reinstalled the software, and everything's perfect again lol. No more crazy input voltage readings. I get a steady 120-121 volts now. Thank you once again.

Have you actually stopped running all 4 cores to see if this adjusts?
Have you reinstalled the software?
Have you disabled the USB driver then re-installed it for the UPS?
Sorry about the post title. I was recently promoted to forum admin, and therefore had to change your thread title.

Sorry bout that. I stopped running all cores but now it's staying up there in that range changing every now and then. Wow, I must have a super computer now or something lol. Let me try and restart.
