I have tried all using the available Gmail settings in the Serial Shutdown software and it never sends a test email.

Show me a screen capture of the settings you’re entering in PCSS. You can block out the email alias for privacy reasons.
Next, what error codes if any are declared by PCSS?!? Have you configured this gmail account for a (Less Secure) password?!?
Have you white listed the PCSS from any antivirus / firewall?!? As a simple test turn off / disable both and check for the results. ☝️
Let me know all the above . . . 👍

pcssagent.exe is whitelisted. There are no error messages, it says the email was successfully sent but it's never received, it's also not in my SPAM folder.

Have you set up a less secure authentication password for this account?!?
What are the results using another email provider?!?

I just checked another test system and APC PCSS v1.30 works just fine with gmail so change the SMTP Server to:
- SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Less Secure Application Password: You'll need to create one for this account.

Changing the SMTP address to smtp.gmail.com made no difference, and there is no option to set a less secure application password.

That doesn’t help, I’m not doing this from an iPhone or iPad, it’s from the Windows 11 computer the UPS is attached to.

You’re absolutely missing the point I’m trying to make to help you solve this problem. 🤦♂️
If you intend to use gmail for your SMTP server provider. You must create a less secure application password! ☝️
As the article also stated this work around will be going away as well . . .
The only other alternative is to use another email provider as I suggested earlier.

You missed the point that the less secure option does not exist with my Gmail account. I also tried with Yahoo and created the less secure application password there which also did not work. I haven’t missed anything.

Have you met all the requirements or understand the caveats that are called out in that gmail resource link?!?
If another email provider doesn’t work it’s more than likely anything from incorrect SMTP settings / values, less secure app authentication, network firewall / antivirus.
The PCSS log will call out what error code is being declared by the SMTP Server. It’s highly likely it will say User Name / Password is incorrect!
I literally setup ten gmail accounts for various clients last week using PCSS.

The PCSS log wasn’t recording any error messages. I finally got it working with Yahoo mail. There was no “less secure” app option available in Gmail for my account.
