I have owned this unit for approximately one month. I am receiving email notifications from the unit every two minutes (kind of excessive in my opinion -- every hour would be more reasonable) that the unit needs battery replacement. This is not my expectation of a brand new unit to have a battery notification within a month of purchase. Here are the details more of my unit:
Model SMART-UPS X1500
SKU SMX1500RM2UC
Serial Number 0S2511L07317
Firmware Revision UPS 16.0 (ID1050)
Manufacture Date 03/16/2025
Apparent Power Rating 1440 VA
Real Power Rating 1350 W
Internal Battery SKU APCRBC115
External Battery SKU SMX48RMBP2U
Battery Status State of Charge 100.0 %
Battery Voltage 53.2 VDC
Num of External Batteries 0
Health Warning Alarm: Battery near end of life
Next Battery Replacement Date 01/14/2026
Certainly the battery falls under a warranty item if its being deemed to be replaced this early in life?? I've owned an identical unit like this for a couple of years and still no battery life notification on this older unit.

Based only on the limited information provided here the best case scenario is the battery installation date was incorrectly set by you or the factory.
As the information declared simply indicates an internal counter and has absolutely no baring on the real world performance of the RBC.
If the LCD on the SMX displayed a battery fault error or the Self Test failed and than declared a battery failure.
There would be a battery (RBC) issue!
You can disconnect the Anderson connector from the RBC. Wait for the system to declare a battery disconnected fault and wait another 15 seconds.
Than reconnect the Anderson connector from the RBC to the system. It will then prompt you to confirm this is a new RBC toggle from No to Yes.
Enter the month and year than save.
The next step is to manually initiate a Self Test via LCD, NMC, Power Chute and let pass and allow the RBC to recover back to 100% SOC.
Complete the procedure by manually initiating a battery calibration with a minimum of 30% load or more connected to the systems outputs.
Once this process has completed allow the RBC to recharge back to 100% SOC. This will allow the system to more accurately reflect the operational runtime of the new RBC via LCD, NMC, Power Chute etc.
NOTE: Provide the following logs in their entirety minus any (PI) data: Event, Data, UPS, Diagnostics.
Lastly all notifications can be modified by seconds, minutes, hours.
