Hi,
I recently installed an APC Smart UPS SC1500VA Tower/Rack which has only 1 compuer connected to it.
It worked fine for about 2 weeks and now it has a flashing overload light and doesn't provide power.
There is only a single beep when first starting (I beleive this is the normal starting beep).
Everything has been left as default, simply installed the UPS and installed power chute on the computer.
Fromthe manual:
Internal UPS fault. The UPS has shut down.
Do not attempt to use the UPS. Turn off the UPS, unplug the battery, and
have it serviced immediately.
Any ideas what is wrong with it and how it can be serviced? Or do I need to return it for warranty?
Thanks.

You can try to reset it but it may require replacement due to internal fault.
To reset it, turn off the attached computer and turn off the UPS. Disconnect any serial or USB cables too. Unplug it from the wall/AC power. Disconnect the battery and hold down the off button for 15-20+ seconds. Reconnect the battery. Plug the UPS back in. Turn it on and see what happens. If it does not clear, I'd suggest pursuing a warranty replacement.
