Not sure where feature requests go, so they go here.
I realize that Powerchute Personal edition is rarely updated, but it would be very helpful to show the model number of a UPS (not the model name like Back-UPS CS 650, but the actual number) being as how almost every support feature on the APC site requires that information. I have a lot of remote users and when a UPS alerts (usually a bad battery) I have to have the user crawl under their desk, then I have to describe what a UPS looks like (seriously) and hope they can read it and relay it to me properly the first go around.
This rarely ever happens on the first go around - BTW.
So I wind up wasting about 15 minutes trying to get the correct information when I should just be able to open PPE and look. The model name (useless) and serial number are there. I can't imagine model number would be that much of a challenge.
Not sure, but I think this may also be an issue in PBE.
So, yeah, do this please.
