ES350 Emits Loud Constant Shrill Sound and Trips Off

We had a sustained power outage last week, several hours. When power returned my ES350 began emiitted a loud shrill sound. If unpluggd from the wall outlet and then replugged into the outlet (with nothing plugged into the device) after about 5 seconds the green light trips off and the loud shrill sound starts. It is constant and continues until unit is unplugged. Can you tell me what has happened to the device? Thanks

That is the correct model #. This indicator you have described is indeed supposed to be reserved for a unit that has had too much load plugged into its outlets. If the UPS continues to show this indicator when turned on and with no load, it will need to be replaced. You can call into technical support @ 1-800-800-4272 to check on warranty status or to ask about getting a discount on a new UPS via Trade-UPS.

Do you have an exact model # on your unit? This generally indicates an overload but with no load, it sounds like the unit is faulting.
