Hi,
I have an ES 700 and since yesterday it emits a constant alarm.
I have disconnected everything and even now when I plug it in I get get green light and after and15 seconds I get a constant warbling alarm screech with green light followed (after a minute or so) by a constant screech and no light!
It Is A BE700-uk
5B0729U04293
I replaced the battery in January 2011 with an APC battery 101003v33
Any assistance appreciated
Peter

From the way that you have described the situation, it appears that you are experiencing an On-Battery Overload. Can you try to turn off the UPS and then remove the load attached to it. Once this is done, turn on the UPS once more, if the same problem occurs the UPS is damaged and should be replaced.
