ES 500 not getting any power on the battery backup side

We bought over 200 ES 500 UPSs for our agency maybe two years ago and we now have about 30 that the backup side will not deliver any power whether the unit is plugged into the wall or not. We have disconnected the power plugs from the backup side and presently using the surge side only, not a good thing but it does work. We only allow the monitor and CPU to be plugged into the backup side. We have troubleshooted one UPS by taken a known good battery out of one and installed it in one of the UPS. That UPS still would not provide power to the backup side of the UPS. We have tried the reset button many times. Any help would be appreciated.

When the UPS is strictly on battery, the green indicator light remains green and an audio signal beeps three times every so 15 seconds.

Just curious as to what happens when the UPS is on battery? Does it provide power then?

It would probably be a good idea for you to call support and set up a case for this. 800-890-4272
