ES 350 and does not work on Mac?

I have a Mac OSx 10.5 and the shutdown software PowerChute says it only supports up to 10.4 !

So does anyone have any information on updates?
Should I not install this software?
Should I return the APC 350ES?

thanks!

On my Mac mini, it seems it just sleep, not shutdown.
And any way to disable the alarm? (Windows version has this feature.)

Unfortunately the software's features are very limited at this time. Check back soon for an updated version of PowerChute Personal Edition to support 10.5 with better features.

Mac OS X 10.5 native UPS support, at this time, is the best option for anyone with an APC UPS with a USB connection.

Your Mac will immediately identify and enable UPS features in the Energy Saver System Preference Pane as soon as you plug it in. Just select UPS from the pull down menu in Energy Saver.

I recently bought two iMac's which use the new Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. To protect these two new iMac's I bought two
APC Back-UPSs (one from BestBuy & one from Sams Club). The PowerChute feature is particularly important to me, however, when I tried to install the PowerChute Personal Edition software, I discovered that it does not work with Mac OS X 10.5. I anticipated that there would be a download update to support the OS X version 10.5. I tried this only to learn that there is no such update yet available. When will this fix be available?

Using native mode and the energy saver function, will not work. I have tried it extensively on my Mac Pro and it will NOT work. I have am using a APC 1500 XS. I have tried all configurations, shut down after running 3 minutes, shutdown after power hits a certain level, none of them work. I finally just disconnected my USB cable from the unit.

If anyone knows of a way to get it to work using 10.5.2 please let me know. In the meantime, I am patiently waiting for an update.

Jim

I am considering returning my APS because they have not released an update for Mac OS 10.5.
