So 2 days ago, I wanted to place my UPS in another room. But ever since it stopped working. When I try to turn it on it just turns on with a long beep, after a couple of seconds the lights turn off and it gives 1 beep ever 3-4 seconds before stopping after 30 seconds.
According to the manual it is basically the UPS telling me it is low in power and it is turning off. I tried resetting it by unplugging the power, unplugging the batter and pressing the on button for 5 seconds but that didn't help.
Anyone has an idea what I can do to fix it, or is it just broken and should I return it? (it is only 2 months old fwiw)

Leave the UPS plugged into the AC wall outlet without anything attached. Once the UPS fully charges the internal battery with nothing attached to the unit - Does the UPS turn back on normally when started manually?!?
If yes - connect a small load and remove AC power from the wall. Does the UPS beep and continues to provide backup power with sufficient runtime based on the connected load?
If the answer is yes - Good! If the answer is no the battery needs to be replaced. Given the unit is only 2 months old you should contact APC for a battery replacement in case the one you purchased was sitting on the shelf for a long time.
It should be noted if a replacement battery is installed and the UPS does not charge the new cell it’s possible the charging circuit inside the unit is bad. At this point the entire UPS will need to be replaced under warranty.
As a reminder, unless you specifically call out you need your unit back once repaired. APC will normally send out a refurbished model to you instead.
