Does the SRV1KI-E turn on its fan while on ECO mode?

Hi. Does the APC SRV1KI-E constantly turns on its fan while on ECO mode when the grid electricity is stable?

I am planning on buying one to use in my bedroom and I cant sleep if its fan is constantly on 24/7. so i guess i can silence the fan with eco mode. but i cant find any reliable info on this ups model whether its fan is off during eco mode.

You’ll need to buy one and report back what you see and observe as it relates to the fan being on / off. 

From personal experience I’ve never seen Eco / Green Mode have any impact on the fans operational state. 

The vast majority of double conversion UPS systems the internal fan always runs. This is due to the fact a lot of heat is generated by the double conversion process.

APC does not use any kind of PWM fans as such most of them only have two speeds of low idle of approximately 30~40% and high speed of 100%. 🤦‍♂️

If you’re sensitive to fan noise this isn’t something you would want in your bedroom while sleeping.
