Hi,
I have a Back-UPS Pro 1000. By default the LCD shows the voltage input. I have to press the 'Display Button' thrice to make it display the power output in watts.
Is there any way to make the power output the default?

That's that, then. Too bad.

I believe if you navigate to the screen and then either hold that button (the one that has a little LCD picture on it). I know I've done it.
Should be outlined here -> http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/GLIN-7X9D9G/GLIN-7X9D9G_R1_EN.pdf

No, that just switches to Power-saving mode
Holding that button again for abt 2 seconds switches the display to Full-time mode again.
(as outlined in page 6, section 2 of that document)

Ok, just tried this. I got it to stay on frequency in if navigated to it and held the left and right buttons (and not the power button in the middle). Can you try that?

I tried it, but it didn't work. Pressing those 2 buttons illuminated the 'leaf' icon - which indicates the Master Outlet feature is enabled.
When I restarted the UPS, it defaulted to voltage display.

Hi scramjet,
Angela and I have done some testing on a unit in our lab recently and It would appear that we are able to select anyone of the Menu options and have the screen remain on it for a period of time. Once the unit switches to battery power however, the intelligence of the UPS over-rides the Menu selection and immediately displays the estimated runtime of the UPS. We had observed the LCD display switching back to the Menu selection we had last selected, once the UPS returned from being Onbattery. That being said, unfortunately there is no true function of the unit which would allow the user to "lock" their Menu selection in as the default display.

Thanks SecretSquirrel, apparently I haven't done this beyond switching it to one screen and leaving it there. A full restart of the unit must change the setting which I did not specifically test.
