Difference in Smart UPS DLA-1500I and SUA-1400i
While cleaning the dust through blower, of my Smart UPS DLA 1500i, I observed that on the computer board where black and red wires of battery are soldered, there is soldered a power capacitor. This was in my mind while i observed my friend doing the same exercise on his smart UPS SU-1400i net, I noticed with interest that there were two such capacitors soldered on the computer board alongside soldered black and red wires of the battery. I am curious to know that why this difference in the computer boards of two identical products doing almost the same job?
And secondly, is it possible to add another capacitor alongside the previous one, for which space is already there? The existing capacitor's value is uF 2700. If it is do-able, then what sort of improvement can occur in the performance of the UPS and what should be the value of the new capacitor to be added? And lastly, will it have any effect on the software of the UPS? It may be added that the UPS is not under warranty now.
