Hi Forum
We are on our 3rd UPS (and / or batteries) now and I am trying to ascertain what's going on and why they are failing.
This UPS is used to support essential services while bringing our gens online in the event of a grid blackout.
I have logged onto the UPS and the load is showing as 0.0% Watts (see attachment). We know that there is very little current draw in a day to day situation and even during gen starting the load was measured as a brief 0.1 amp.
This is a 10KVA UPS in an online configuration. Will extended low (virtually zero) load have a detrimental effect on the UPS?
If so what is a minimum load that we could place on it to keep it healthy.
I think that maybe the batteries are dying as they get virtually no run out or recharging but I am just speculating.
TIA
