Hi, can you please help me. I had to disconnect the UPS from AC Utility for 3 days. Now, when switched on, it switches the battery continuously to AC Utility (even 30 minutes). PowerChute Personal Edition reports power problem Blackout 12 times. Thanks

That definitely doesn't sound right. What happens when you pull the plug from the wall? Does it run on battery power?

Are you sure your power is clean? Is there a way to try the unit with another power source?

I plugged the unit into another circuit breaker circuit and nothing changed. Perhaps the unit is at the lifetime (it is about 20 years old)

Possibly. It could also be the battery. I've seen some strange behaviors when batteries are on their way out.

You don't have to. You can if you wish as the UPS would charge faster if it is 'off' if the battery is fully drained.
We leave our UPSs on 24x7, even if the attached equipment is turned off.
