I recently purchased a 1400va apc ups in order to protect an iMac and a nas storage. I would like to control both iMac and nas in order to shut down after a power faillure. The problem is that ups come with only one USB port. Is there any way to split the USB port into two or any other way to achive what I want?
Also powerchute wont work with Mac computers. Is there any other software that I can get ups info?

No. USB protocol stipulates comm must be between 1 UPS and a single OS.

Yes. Your options are, use the energy option the are part of Mac OSX See Schneider Electric FAQ FA159690 for assistance. The other option is APCUPSD.
With APCUPSD you can run a script that could be used to power down the NAS.
