I have a 1200a jump starter kit/pack with an AC outlet on it. I was wondering if it would be okay to plug the APC to the jump starter only when the power goes out for more power/runtime. Both are made by Schneider, if that matters.

Hi Uzuki,
The 1200a "jump starter pack" is most likely a modified sine wave output, rather than a pure sinusoidal wave form. Essentially what this means is that although the modified sine wave is acceptable to most equipment, the UPS will likely see the output of the "jump starter pack" as being unacceptable and will instead remain on it's own internal battery power. This is due to the nature of the UPS and it's ability to monitor utility power for various types of power anomalies.
