About an hour ago, my APC UPS started making some strange continuous beeping noises for about 2 minutes. This UPS has a display. I looked at the display and it appeared that the battery symbol with a red X was lit up. The beeping noises stopped and the clicking noises started. The battery symbol with the red X was no longer lit, but the power plug is blinking. I checked Power Chute and it appears that the battery is being used. Power Chute keeps running Self Test about every 5 minutes. The display is showing no System Faults Faults. I checked the APC website for information on a replacement battery for this unit and this model is not even listed. What is up with that? Any suggestions?

Thanks so much Tom for your prompt reply and suggestions. I looked at the manual you referenced and it definitely doesn't apply to my APC UPS which I have confirmed by disconnecting it that it is indeed a BN1250G. Some people in the forums thought they had a BN1250g but when the checked the tag on the unit it showed it was a NS1250. Someone else in the forum posted a link to a manual for Installation and Operations of Back-UPS 1250, 1300, 1500. That manual is a little confusing because it clearly states, under the heading of Connect the Battery, that the battery in this unit is not replaceable. The drawings in this manual show inserting the batteries. I've decided to take the suggestion on the APC website of replacing this APC UPS with a new APC UPS because of new features. Thanks again. 2019-01-28

Hi Angie,
Could you please perform a braindead on the UPS. To do this, follow the below procedure;
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the ""On"" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.
The replacement battery for this is the RBC32.
Here is the manual for this UPS: https://www.apc.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z7V7X/ASTE-6Z7V7X_R0_EN.pdf
Regards,
Tom
