Choosing an UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply)
So I have a gaming tower, though I'm not looking for something specific to it (well I am, but hear me out) I have been looking for an UPS for a while, though I can't seem to find a guide on selecting one that suits me best. This is due mostly to that I don't know what I'm looking for. For example, I have a 1000w power supply and I can't find out for sure if I need to match or exceed that rating on the UPS if my rig doesn't draw that many watts, is it the Amps I need to match or what? I also have to take into account that the monitors need to be plugged into it as well so I can see what I'm doing to either shut the system down, or finish/save the task at hand

We recommend you only load the UPS to 80 percent, so at a minimum, for a 1000 watt power supply, you would need an SMX1500 that offers 1.2K watt and would only cover the PC.
For both PC and monitor you should look at SMT2200
