I have just gotten a BE 600M1 for my entertainment system components. I would like to install the new Powerchute software on my windows 11 laptop and then leave a data cable attached to the UPS so I can plug in at times to monitor/evaluate battery status, runtime and loads with devices on and off.
Is this possible?

Yes, but understand the USB cable should be attached to the laptop when the computer boots up. ☝️ The auto detect / plug & play in Windows doesn’t always work as expected.
The same should be done when the laptop is not in use. Meaning you should power down the laptop first than disconnect the USB cable.
You can also click on the task bar where the USB devices are and then choose (disconnect USB device).
You can use that option if the laptop is still in use and avoids having to power down the laptop. 👍
