CS500 Powers On Without Battery Or Not?
I just acquired 3 used CS500 units. Two of them power on with their replace battery light flashing and emitting beeps, either with a bad battery or without one. But the third one does not. If I place a bad battery in that unit, the 'On Battery' glows a faint amber, but I cannot turn the unit on or off. The fuse/reset button design for this unit is different than the other two, having a wider black reset button as opposed to a skinny white reset button.
My question is if this unit is bad, or does it behave differently by design than the other two? I have a brand new RBC2 battery on the way to get these units back in operation, and will test the battery on this unit in question, but it would be nice to have a clue as to what's going on.
