CS 500 always "On battery", even there is no battery inside, wont turn off

Hi,

I have Back up UPS CS 500. When the unit is connected on power source there is a yellow light "On battery", even there is no battery inside. The unit wont turn off. I don't have data cable.

Unit is old and battery is probably bad, but the overall condition looks good. There is no physical damage or strange (burning) smell.
