I have a relatively new C1500 Tower, for the past month or so the red light flashes intermittently with an event code of 18. Any idea what might be wrong?
Thanks in advance

Hi Chris,
The 18 shown on that particular LCD menu page is very likely the event counter. This indicates the number of events that occurred to cause the UPS to switch to battery operation. If the UPS is reporting a system fault there should also be an event code beginning with P (for example P06, or P13, etc.) available on the LCD display. Can you scroll through the LCD display pages using the Display (lower right) button and check if there is any event code reported?

Hi,
Please provide the full model number. It will be found on the bar code sticker on the back of the unit.
If the unit is a SMC1500 the error codes are listed in the User's Guide.

The model is a SMC1500.
Thanks for the manual, but code 18 is not listed in the manual.

Hi Chris -
Is it displaying P.18 or just 18? Arte you using any software with the unit? If so, can you attach the logs?
