My brand new BR1100CI-IN won't run on AC power. It switches to battery backup as soon as I switch it on, even when connected to mains. I've removed all PC components from UPS and tried 3 sensitivity levels (Green, Red, Green+Red), but haven't been able to fix it.

Can you connect the PowerChute software (assuming this UPS does not have an LCD) via the included USB cable? I'd be checking that to see what the input voltage reads as (maybe it is incorrectly reading as 0V) or if the software reports something else whether true or not (electrical noise, etc).
Another option is trying the UPS in a different physical location or at a minimum a different electrical circuit to see if any change.
