Hi,
I have a question regarding the Back-ups pro 1500.
I want to achieve 3 things with this hardware:
1) I want my main PC to shut down safely as soon as possible when power runs out.
2) I want the main PC to turn back on as soon as power comes back
3) I want to have some networking equipment (router, cable modem, etc) to receive battery power until the battery runs out.
Is this configuration possible? I can get the PC to shut off and leave the network stuff running, but it won't come back on when power comes back, because the APC UPS won't cycle its power.
Alternately, I can get the PC to shutdown, then turn off the UPS (after a short delay). Once this happens all networking stuff is turned off as well, and stays off until the power comes back.
So again, are my 3 objectives possible?
