Battery initial current and UPS max charging battery current?
I have APC ES 550 ups, 12V 7.2Ah, battery initial current is max. 2.16A.
Do you know how much ( Amps) this UPS charging battery max.?
I don`t think that it is 2.16A .
There must be current limitation circuit in device, with factor of safety.
thank you:)

I've never seen the charging current in one of these units go much past half an amp. It might get up to 750mA or so with a thoroughly depleted battery.

thank you, for reply
That initial current is little mystery to me, is it charging start current or similar?
If battery has initial current 2.16A max. is there current limiter inside battery like feature.?

No, that is the maximum charge current the manufacturer says you can squeeze into the battery without damaging it. You *can* charge them faster than that but it's really abuse that will shorten the ultimate battery life.
