Battery in new BX1000G does not charge

I've just installed a new BX1000g and initially there were 2 blocks on the battery charge indicator.  After a couple of hours, the indicator was blank, and the chat desk recommended I turn off the unit, and let it charge for 16 hours.  I did that and now I have 1 block on the battery indicator.  So the battery is not fully charged.  What do I do next.

Can you post the serial number of the UPS?  Also, is it possible that you install the PowerChute Personal Edition software and then navigate to Technical Data and grab a screen shot of it and post it here as well.  Were you told to reseat the battery terminal/connection of your UPS?
