If you get the same batteries not installed error message as I did. make sure the unit is plugged in then turn the UPS OFF overnight.
in the morning it should be fine. (this should really be added to the setup instructions.)
remember anything that is plugged in to the battery side plugs will not have power when the unit is off.
these instructions are for a unit with new batteries installed.
