" Power-Saving Mode: Press and hold DISPLAY for two seconds. The
display will go dark and the Back-UPS will beep to confirm the Power-
Saving mode. While in Power-Saving Mode, the display will illuminate
if a button is pressed, it then goes dark after 60 seconds of no activity. "
I pressed DISPLAY and the display will go dark but once I power down the UPS and then power up, I have to again press DISPLAY to make the display go dark. The UPS forgets that I had instructed the display to go dark after 60 seconds of no activity.
I don't want to press DISPLAY every time I had powered up the UPS. I wish the UPS remembers my instruction.

Sounds like the same item #1 here -> Back-UPS 1500GI Behavior
Refer to the entire thread there. This UPS is designed to remain on all the time so perhaps this was overlooked. I did enter an enhancement request to address it but I am not sure when it will happen.
