Hi All
APC 750G-CN
Windows 7 Prof 32 bit
I have another question...and this 'problem' would have answered my previous posting.
While sitting here yesterday evening, the backup came only, but only for a few seconds. Said there was a 'Blackout'. The lights didn't even flicker. Checked the Performance Screen and saw that so far, I've had 8 Blackouts lasting a total of 38 seconds. So today, I was going through Windows Event View and located them all. I can only attest to the last occurence, so I don't know what happened the first 7 times. There is no red light on the unit indicating bad wiring, so I'm wondering if I should be worried about A. the house wiring or B. the Backup unit thinking there's a failure when there isn't
As I was writing this, backup came on again for only a few seconds, but the Performance Screen and Windows Event Viewer don't show anything for this.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Barb

Hi Barb,
Since you have our software installed, can you go ahead and check what is the Sensitivity configuration of your UPS? If it is set to High or Medium, can you lower it up and see what would happen.

Our UPS' can see electrical issues(dirty power etc) that we can't necessarily see(such as lights flickering, power going on). Unfortunately, events like this aren't necessarily measurable and explained via our software or windows. Has this happened multiple times(days)?

Hello
Sorry for the delay in replying, for many days I was not able to connect to the forum.
I installed the Backup unit last summer and everything was OK until mid-Jan of this year. Since then I've had 10 occurences of where the backup came on for either 4 or 5 seconds. I can't say if this occurs at a regular occurence, as my machine isn't always turned on.
The Event ID is 174 and the message associated with it is: Battery backup transferred to battery power due to a blackout.
Then Event ID 61455 and the message: Battery backup transferred to AC utility power. happens 4-5 seconds afterwards.
Any clues?
Thanks again for your time and help
Barb
