Backup UPS ES750 compatibility problems with Vista Ultimate x64.

The APC shows up inside powerchute 2.1 as connected and responding. But when I try to put the computer in Sleep mode or Hibernate it shuts off and then immediately turns back on with a message in the tray saying "Unable to communicate with apc battery backup."

Anyone know why it won't sleep/hibernate and returns with this error message?

Yes I have multiple USB devices plugged in. The APC automatically works with powerchute 2.1 as soon as it's installed. I am going to the windows start menu and clicking on sleep and trying to hit the sleep button on my keyboard.

I can hear the hardrives turning off and the fans inside my computer shutting of and them immediately turning back on.

Hello,

We do not recommend using "Sleep" in conjuntion with PowerChute Personal Edition and Vista. If the computer is in "Sleep" mode, the software will not be able to gracefully shutdown the computer if AC power was lost. Also, losing communication and having the computer wake back up, are common issues with PowerChute and the "Sleep" funtion.
We recommend "Hibernate" over "Sleep".
