I have a laptop with PowerChute personal 3.0.2. When mains power fails the laptop runs for maximum duration (until 5 mins before the UPS battery dies). PowerChute then hibernates the PC. The UPS eventually switches off but when mains power is restored the laptop remains off as it was hibernated rather than shutdown. The bios is set to startup when power is applied but because it was hibernated it does not start back up.
Is there any way to fix this? Can PowerChute be configured to shutdown rather than hibernate (as I suspect this will then successfully startup).

Hi,
You can disable hibernation by opening a command prompt as an administrator and enter the command powercfg.exe /hibernate off
